🎃👻WebBOOtanical Open House & Plant Sale 👻🎃
At Webbotanical, everything begins with curiosity — paying close attention to how plants grow and what helps them thrive. That curiosity naturally leads to connection: when we care for plants with knowledge and intention, we discover new ways to connect with ourselves, with each other, and with the places we live. You’ll find that spirit in every tray of seedlings, every custom potting mix, and every beneficial insect release. Cultivated in Lakewood, Ohio, Webbotanical is a small, hands-on grower focused on native perennials, edible ornamentals, culinary herbs, and unique succulents.
In my work, beauty and nourishment go hand in hand. Many of the plants I grow are edible ornamentals — strawberries that cover the ground, herbs that bloom for pollinators and the kitchen alike, and flowers whose petals can garnish a plate as easily as they brighten a border. I want people to see that gardens can be both sustaining and stunning: a feast for the eyes and for the table. Behind this abundance is careful seed selection — often organic or premium varieties chosen for strength, climate adaptation, and reliability. When we weave edibles into our landscapes, we’re not just planting beauty; we’re planting resilience, generosity, and the possibility of communities that can nourish themselves as well as their ecosystems.
Community and Symbiosis
Webbotanical is grounded in the belief that thriving happens in community. Just as plants and pollinators depend on one another, growers and gardeners strengthen one another when we share knowledge, resources, and support. I don’t see myself in competition with other growers — I see myself as part of a larger movement, like bands in a music scene, each adding to the richness of the whole. My long-term vision is to make Webbotanical a hub: a place where plants, people, art, and ideas intersect. Whether it’s keeping alyssum on hand to support beneficial insects, or creating space where neighbors and growers can connect, I want this work to be a thread in a larger fabric of resilience and shared joy.
Webbotanical grew out of my own journey of resilience. During the uncertainty of the COVID years, tending plants became a way to ground myself, to find stability, and to reconnect with others. Over time it became clear: this isn’t just work, it’s the calling my life keeps pulling me toward. As someone who is neurodivergent, I’ve learned that my mind and heart thrive when they’re immersed in this work — crafting soils, raising seedlings, weaving plants into communities of people and pollinators alike. Webbotanical is small, but it’s rooted in something strong: the belief that careful growing, honest teaching, and ecological care can make a difference. If you bring home a plant from me, you’re joining that mission. My hope is that you’ll not only find something beautiful to grow, but also feel supported in cultivating a garden — or even just a windowsill — that feeds your spirit as much as your senses.
